The Ferture, so let me throw this question out at you guys just as a knee-jerk reaction.

Would you support the idea of not being able to jump on social media until you are 18 years old?

No more kids scrolling through TikTok and Instagram and whatever, right?

You'd actually see your kids eyes for the first time in six years.

I say yes. I would need to do some more digging and some more googling.

But from the headlines and the stories I have read, social media is not beneficial for kids.

It's totally a great deal.

It has been detrimental as far as self-esteem and bullying, etc.

I feel like there's a lot more cons than pros when it comes to social media in our youth.

And including the fact that their brains are still developing, I don't think...

As adults, we can't handle all these opinions from strangers.

Now put yourself into the mind of a child and you're dealing with that on social media.

I know there's a lot of fail-safes in place as far as you can make it private.

You can do certain things to protect them online, which I appreciate.

But I think as far as waiting till you're 18, I'm not opposed to it.

How many times on the show over the course of the last couple of months have I referred people to that book, The Dopamine Nation?

Yeah.

That really is telling you that dopamine addiction that your kids are going through.

And adults are going through also right now where you're constantly trying to get that hit of dopamine

is really leading to a lot of social anxiety and depression.

I just don't think the mainstream is caught up to it just yet.

And let's be honest, it's so easy just to throw your phone in front of your kids and say,
