Today, we're going to do a book review, and we don't do a lot of them because I only do

book reviews if I read the book and I have an interest in the book.

I had an interest in this one, asked Mons to go get it.

The bosses of the Bronx.

Let me hold it up here. Okay, Harper Collins. So you know, it's a big time publisher.

Basically, the story of the Yankees from the day George bought the team. I remember it well.

And anybody who's my age, okay, anybody who's hanging around and now is 70 or 80 or

older or even a little younger remembers all the years with George, the good, the bad, the ugly,

the pretty. And now as he's gone and the championships have stopped coming.

The stuff that happened that people didn't like, they don't care about so much anymore.

Now George is almost deified and it's almost what would George have done on a daily basis.

So that's very much a theme.

Mike Vicaro, who you know very well from the Post, wrote the book. Again,

if you're a Yankee fan, if you're a baseball fan, terrific read, entertaining, fast-paced,

a lot of juicy stories. And again, stories you know, but you might not know every little

wrinkle of the stories through the years from

Billy and George and Gabe Paul and all the craziness that went on in those years. And people

don't realize the 70s and 80s were insane compared to 2000 was calm compared. You know, the years where they had the dynasty was calm you know

george once in a while throw a fit or you know flutter clubhouse but you know those days in the old days
