It's hard to get, you know, terribly enthusiastic when such terrible bad news is dropped in your lap.

The news that we received from one of our all-time greats and maybe the most beloved creator of my

lifetime, and that is Mr. George Perez, George Perez, who is mentioned on my very first episode

because one of my earliest comic books that I ever encountered, Avengers 141, was drawn

by George Perez, and it was his first

issue of the Avengers and it said they welcome George Perez to the Avengers family. And that is

1975. And so George Perez was my very first comic. Can't make this stuff up. This goes all the way back to my, like I said, my first podcast nearly two years ago

where the Avengers Squadron Supreme story plays out over the best, better part of a year.

And I discuss how it's the first time I encountered echoes,

that the Squadron Supreme was kind of an echo of the Justice League.

That wasn't the first appearance of the Squadron Supreme.
