George E. Norcross, Norcross III was indicted for running a criminal enterprise on Monday, June 17, 2024.

And the press conference held by Attorney General Matt Plattkin

was a bit unusual.

In the front row, in a dark suit and his recognizable shock of silver hair,

was George Norcross himself, smiling, wearing shiny leather loafers with no socks, and behind him in the second row were a bunch of his lawyers.

Now the front row was reserved for staff. There were signs on the seats.

When the spokesperson for the attorney general tried to get Norcross to move from the front row,

he flat out refused. Is there something more significant that will be defended in the case?

I have a seat in front row all these be exploited by the attorney general in the state.

It's hard to hear, but I was there.

One of Nortcross's lawyers says,

Is there anyone more significant than the lead defendant in this case

to be given a seat while he's being excoriated by the attorney general of the state?

It's the first time I've ever seen a defendant show up at a press conference where their indictment

is being announced.

Norcross refused to move out of the front row,

which was just a foot or so from the podium.

From his perch, he could face down the attorney general of the state of New Jersey, who was accusing him of
