Episode 12.

Today we're on Chapter 47 of Genesis.

And it's really cool the way the schedule worked out.

We get to end Genesis today, nice and evenly.

I don't have to cut it short or take it long to end it.

So that's great so that we can start Exodus fresh.

Now, this is going to end the story of Joseph.

And like it has been the case, the last few podcasts, This is going to end the story of Joseph.

And like it has been the case, the last few podcasts, the story's a little tighter and there's a little less material to sort of play around with.

So it's mainly going to be description here.

There's some couple funny points to make, but I was getting a little annoyed because it's, it's just not a lot is happening.

It sort of just describes what's happening.

And since, like I've told you a couple times, this has the benefit of being perfected

over probably 400 years. They speculate that

this story was sort of a novella by the Hebrews sort of perfected over time. So I think that's why

it's a bit better than this little Joseph story is a bit better than the rest of it. But the good news

is I've read ahead and the beginning of Exodus is just a gold mine. So we're going to go from

pretty boring stuff to just like there's a almost every line there's something funny to be said.

So hang in there for this chapter.

The story is pretty important for the rest of the Bible, though.

So it'll be good to at least get that.
