Hey everyone. Welcome to episode 13, Tom Mass and the Bibli.

We are starting the book of Exodus.

Very excited because Genesis was getting a little boring,

but Exodus is freaking magical right away. Going to be very entertaining.

So, let's get right in. Oh, first actually, I'm doing a little research. This is one area of the

Bible where it's pretty easy to see archaeologically that none of this happened.

There's no evidence of the exodus, the mass exodus of these people from Egypt.

So as we go through this, keep that in mind that this is not real.

And you can sort of notice how made up some of it seems if you put a critical eye to it,

as I tried to do. And a lot of the end of Genesis was like that too, and well, all of Genesis.

All righty, let's go. Verse one. Exodus chapter 1 verse 1.

Now, these are the names of the children of Israel which came into Egypt.

Every man in his household came with Jacob.

Oh, awesome.

Great.

It's been nearly five minutes since we last heard all the names of everyone of Jacob.

So, yeah, we really need this information again.

Let's list out all the children.

One more time, please.

Rubin, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Isakar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, Dan, and Nafthali, Gad, and Asher.

You know, did they not realize that we'd have all this in one book?

Like, wasn't this meant to be a book?
