Hey, if you were wondering if you were actually listening to a telenovela, newsflash,

you're not, you're reading the Bible. Yay. And really reading it, which is so encouraging.

Right. But did you have any idea that the Bible was this salacious? Last week we had an unlikely love story where Joseph out of love for his brothers, his brothers who actually tried to kill him,

he's yet going to save them because he's now in a position to do that. And it was a really sweet

love story. The brothers end up, they do sacrifice themselves for their youngest brother.

And then Judah courageously takes the lead.

And he makes this loving appeal for his brother Benjamin.

It's a very sweet moment.

And we shared it together.

So this week we're going to cover chapter 45 and 46.

And I've called this Joseph's unexpected

save, and I'll get to that why I think it's unexpected.

But we are really at the climax of our story about Joseph and rapidly approaching the end

of Genesis.

When we left the reunion scene last episode, Judah had just ended up that speech that you mentioned

by sincerely imploring Joseph to take him as a slave and let Benjamin go home to his father.

And he said in verse 33, now then, please let your servant remain here as my lord slave in place of the boy and let the boy return

with his brothers. How can I go back to my father if the boy is not with me? No, do not let me see

the misery that would come on my father. And that was all that Joseph needed to hear. His brothers had passed the test.
