Okay, we'll go ahead and get started.

We're going to get started here in just a moment.

We're picking up in Genesis chapter 4 verse 17.

Ready for some genealogical excitement?

Unfortunately, I don't think there are any Mormons here.

They get really excited about genealogies.

So, once again, we're still early enough in Genesis, and the first 11 chapters are sort of

episodic enough that I don't have to do a huge bunch of review.

Once we get into chapter 12, we'll start getting into the story of Abraham.

There'll be a little more story so far at the beginning

of each Bible study. But for right now, basically, last time we talked about the story of

Kane and Abel. And I don't know that I have to review that that much because the broad

details, I'm pretty sure people know.

Kane killed Abel.

And so at the end, right, we had the sort of mercy that was shown by God to Kane.

We are going to be picking up with Kane's genealogy,

so we do need to do a little,

just to have this fresh again. And remember that Kane was worried

that whoever found him was going to kill him

to take vengeance for him having killed Abel.
