can't fit it all in. Welcome to the club. This is the Bible Book Club. We'll read it to you and help

you make sense of the most important book you'll ever read. Jacob wrestles with relationships, And don't you know, wrestling with relationships usually doesn't

turn out so great. I don't know about you if you've ever wrestled in a relationship. It's not so much fun.

But it's something we're going to learn from Jacob. Yeah. And that's one good thing about Jacob is that he does learn as he goes.

And just like his father, Isaac, before him, they learned from their mistakes.

And then in the end of their life, they're making much better decisions than they were in the beginning.

Like we do.

It's called wisdom.

And so let's try to learn from these poor characters in our story before we have to learn the lessons for ourselves.

Exactly.

So last episode, chapter 30 and 31, Jacob and Laban battle for control.

Laban's loss is Jacob's gain.

God wins the battle on behalf of Jacob.

And then God tells Jacob, go home and he tells Laban to just be quiet.

Which Laban doesn't do.

No.

Laban doesn't listen to anything that God tells him to do, which is another story.

So this week we're going to cover chapter 32 and 33.

Now that God has molded Jacob into the man of faith, he needs him to be to lead a nation,

the focus is going to turn to his family.

His sons are the future of the promised nation.
