Hey everyone. Welcome to Thomas in the Bible.

Episode 5, last episode of the week.

It was a fun and interesting first week because I learned a lot.

I've listened back through the episode, sort of tried to gauge, you know, my shortcomings and what's going on.

I think I'm learning every time and hopefully improving every time.

Thomas and the Bible.com. But, uh, okay, having said that, we're on chapter 21, Genesis,

and let's get right into it. First one, and the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken.

For Sarah conceived and bear Abraham a son in his old age at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.

And Abraham circumcised his son, Isaac, being eight days old, as God had commanded him.

And Abraham was an hundred years old when his son Isaac was born unto him.

That could have all probably been said in 2.3 sentences rather than five verses, by the way.

But anyway.

And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that here will laugh with me.

And she said, who would have said unto Abraham that Sarah should have given children suck?

For I have borne him a son in his old age. And the children grew and the child grew and was weaned. And Abraham made a great feast

the same day that Isaac was weaned. And Sarah saw the son of, so basically what's happened is Sarah has had a child at the age of something like 99, 100.

Abraham is 100.

She's, I think, 90, something like that.

So really, when you think about it, her son Isaac's birth is just as miraculous as Jesus's

supposed virgin birth.
