If I'm giving 10%, I'm not giving the 10% of the people I pass on the street.

Mostly I'm giving that to big impact places where I think I could really have a huge impact

on others.

But there's always a certain amount of my charitable giving that is reserved for giving to

everybody who asks me for money, every needy person who asks me, there's an idea that

you never want to say no.

but my guest today feels that giving is an integral part of building true wealth.

Author Dave Mason is my guest today. Dave is the co-author of the new book,

The Cash Machine, a tale of passion, persistence, and financial independence. I recently read this book,

and I have to say, Dave, I know you're hearing this right now. This book was fantastic. It is awesome.

I could not put it down. It teaches hundreds of financial lessons from the importance of

saving for emergencies all the way to investing in real estate with the Burr strategy. It's got all

of it. And it's also a love story, which is a lot of fun to read as well. Dylan, one of the

main characters in this financial love story, is taught to give 10% of his income away at the

start of his financial independence journey. And since this is an area that I'm personally

exploring myself, I thought it would be fun to dive in further with our author
