from General Douglas MacArthur.

It is his farewell address to Congress back on April 19, 1951.

He addresses the president, the speaker of the House, and the distinguished members of the Congress.

And I will tell you, this speech transported me back to 1951

and all that was going on in the world, about 30 years before I was born.

And it's just crazy to think what was happening then,

how they didn't know how the future was going to unfold,

and how scary that is, and how we live in a time now,

where we don't know what the future is going to unfold,

and how scary that can be as well.
