THE TIME HAS COME! In mere hours, we will have the Nintendo Switch 2 (finally!). We just had to bring our friend Gene Park from the Washington Post back to tell us how he's feeling after doing all sorts of Nintendo things in the lead-up to this launch. Gene went to all of the preview events, interviewed Shigeru Miyamoto, played over 10 hours of Mario Kart World, interviewed Mario Kart World producer Kosuke Yabuki and did SO much more so he has the knowledge and we want to hear it and hopefully you do too. We can't believe the launch is almost here and it's been a joy to share in its highs and lows with all of you. The next time you see us, we be holding our Nintendo Switch 2s! First of all, thanks so much Kit and Krista for having me back on your show. I may be very tired. I think the last time I was on your show, I was also very tired. And I was like, great. I got to be on the show fully energized. I'm back. And then here I am all ragged and tired again. Maybe we can do this a third time again when I'm super 100% energy. But I'm going to give it my best today, you know? You're always. Gampete! Any state we can get you in, we're always grateful. We'll be tired next time.

1:17.6	But, yeah, compared to the PS5 and Xbox, like I, there's a lot of discourse right now about whether there's the people aren't really feeling the hype or the
1:28.8	excitement of a new console console cycle especially since this is nintendo the console manufacturer
1:34.8	right um i can see that part of that is there and uh you know when i covered ps5 and xbox i think part of that part of the excitement
1:47.2	was that it was coming out during covid like during lockdown so like to be able to get our new toys
1:52.8	like the next generation was exciting and uh and the ps5 has some pretty good launch titles actually
1:59.2	like you know for me demon souls remake was Souls remake is like a day one purchase.
2:02.6	Like I would have just bought a PS5 day one for that.
2:05.6	And I think, like to make people understand, like I've only been covering video games since 2019.
