It's not about how much we do, but it's about how much we recognize Allah in our lives and in our actions. So that leads me to the next Hikim of Ibn Atta'I. I want you to look at the moments in your life where something didn't go as you thought, a job

that you wanted to get that you didn't get, a school that you wanted to get into that you

didn't get into, a proposal that you shot your shot for, but you didn't get it.

The Imam is telling us something that we have to be people that learn as

spiritual, deeply spiritual Muslims that look beyond the external form of our lives.

And what does that mean?

In this statement he's saying that not every gift that was

given to you was a gift. Sometimes you get something and in reality it blocked you off from so many

other opportunities that were there. And sometimes, and this is the one that we really struggle with,

sometimes he holds back from you. He doesn't give you that answer to that dua. And this is where

I meet so many people and they say, like, I've been making dua, making dua, making dua, and I,
