to get the full story but I'll just give you a little bit of the broad strokes of what's going on here.

So there is a Gears of War movie that has been sort of churning through Hollywood development systems since 2007.

The video game originally came out for the Xbox in 2006, or maybe it was the Xbox 360,

I don't recall which system was, it originally debuted on, but the game came out in 2006 and a movie was first put into development in 2007 and it has gone through a bunch of different iterations and like what's his name who directed

Live Freeer diehard Lynn Wiseman was attached to direct at one point a movie version Joseph Kaczynski who at that point had only directed Tron Legacy was once attached to direct a version.

Billy Ray, the screenwriter behind the shattered glass, was attached at one point.

I think Dave Bautista had been saying that he had been angling to star and play the lead character

of these games and this movie, I think the character's name is Marcus Phoenix who is a

soldier in like an intergalactic war and he happens to look a lot like Dave Batista.

I don't Dave Batista.

I don't think Batista was ever actually attached

in any sort of official capacity.

But hey, who knows?
