pause is everything for building up logistics and rearranging the politics of

the front line.

There's a pause in Gaza, Jeff.

The 98th Commander Division that's been in constant combat since six months has pulled out for, we're told,

rest in rehab. At the same time, there's one brigade of IDF very capable with lots of

surveillance resources left inside Gaza. Gaza itself is reduced to a ruin. The

electricity is gone, the water is gone, the sewers is

gone, the water is gone, the sewage is gone,

everything's gone.

There's still one to two million people in there.

Four battalions underneath Raffa, we're told.

Between four and a dozen tunnels into Sinai, we're told.

Hamas rearming, we're told.

And yet, the leadership in Jerusalem says there's a date certain for an operation in

Rafa. I'm told maybe one, maybe two months. What we're looking at here is a standoff. How do you measure

this standoff, Jeff? Is it advantage Hamas? Advantage the IDF? Or a total collapse?

Well, it's been to both on military terms, of course, after six months of intensive

combat, the Israeli military forces may require a pause to prepare their forces for this assault on Raffa which will be very very difficult.

Furthermore if they're going to try in any way or shape or form to meet the demands of the United States
