my co-host, and we are welcoming Ahmad Sharrari of the FD, who reports routinely the arms of the octopus, continuing a threat to Israel and the United States by implication, given the

engagement with Iran, which is nowhere near

complete.

Ahmed, I go immediately to Hamas, not that there's clarity, but that what we have is the same

old negotiation dragging on with Hamas making changes in the deal that become unacceptable

to the IDF side and the IDF waiting for a deal

to return the hostages. Are we any closer to the end than the beginning, or is this a

permanent negotiation that Hamas finds and awakens its support?

I think until last week or until late last week, there was, there were positive indications that there might be a settlement to the negotiations between Hamas, Israel,

and the mediators, Qatar, Egypt, and the United States.

But it seemed like Hamas's or Hamas's counter proposal, which includes more, they changed

a few things in terms of the provisions related to humanitarian aid and Israel's withdrawal

from the Gaza Strip, which does not seem appropriate for the Israelis.
