Israel has struck a hospital in Gaza today, killing more than a dozen people.

The NASA Medical Complex says several journalists who work for multiple outlets are among the dead,

including from the Associated Press, Reuters and Al Jazeera.

The Palestinian Health Ministry says a strike hit the hospital's fourth floor, followed by a

second attack a short time later that hit ambulance crews and emergency responders.

In a statement, the Israeli military says it carried out a strike in the area of the hospital,

adding, it regrets any harm to quote, uninvolved individuals, and that it does not target journalists.

While it says an initial inquiry will be launched, that statement does not acknowledge hitting the hospital directly,

fails to mention the two consecutive strikes on the facility,

and makes no mention of what the military was targeting.

There's still a lot of unanswered questions about President Donald Trump's plan to send

the National Guard to Chicago. But one thing is certain, leaders in Illinois are not happy about it.
