Seth Fransman also of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy's long word journal as well as the Jerusalem Post. Seth is in country and over these

last weeks he's been racing back and forth from Gaza and the south to the

Lebanon border in the north and the Golan Heights.

We begin in Gaza, however, the headlines out of London are striking.

Israeli troops end 19-day siege of Al-Shifa Hospital.

Your most recent article that I see at Longware Journal

talks about Israeli raids.

That was one of the ways the al-Shifa hospital operation was presented.

What happened there? What are the results that we understand so far? That the siege, if it is

ended, now is a history and the major raiding forces have left.

Well basically after Israel first cleared the area around Shefa Hospital in November of basically cleared it of terrorists because Hamas and other and Islamic

jihad and other groups they use it you know area it or areas near as a

command center they basically hide behind the human shields and they assume

that you know Israel will be afraid to go into the hospital or obviously to

Air strikes and things like that so what happened is Israel had cleared it in November and in December it was the Israeli forces that kind of left the area and

Israel then got intelligence that hundreds or numerous terrorists were basically returning
