Hello from CNN. I'm Joe Beck, with the five things you need to know for Tuesday, May 6th.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the population of Gaza will be displaced to the

South. He revealed the details in a video message yesterday, after his security cabinet approved

expanding a military operation that one minister described as a plan to, quote,

conquer the enclave.

One thing will be clear, there will be no in and out. We'll call it reserves to come,

whole territory. An Israeli official says the plan will start after President Donald Trump

visits the Middle East next week, and CNN's Jeremy Diamond explains

how it could happen.

If you look at the past, it will likely be evacuation orders followed very swiftly

by artillery, fire, airstrikes, and the movement of ground troops.

And what Israel has also done in the past is choked off certain areas of aid, for example. Israel says that this is intended

to keep the aid from being diverted to Hamas. Humanitarian organizations, though, insist

that the overwhelming majority of aid does make it to the Palestinian people in Gaza, to

civilians who desperately need that aid right now.

This woman in Gaza described the dire situation, as Israel's aid blockade continues.
