Right now, there's a headline in Israel that the Hamas negotiator have arrived in Cairo or are planning to arrive

in Cairo in these next hours and the Israeli team has returned back to Jerusalem. This suggests that

they're not talking directly to each other about the remaining hostages. What is the status of the hostages?

Who's carrying the burden of this negotiation?

Is it the U.S.?

Is it Israel?

All of the above?

I think, you know, we're probably all confused about these status of the negotiations right now.

It seems to be kind of stuck in place, at least from where I'm looking.

It seemed to me at a certain point that it was Steve Whitkoff and the reports, even in certain

Israeli media outlets that the Trump administration was sidelining the Israelis, though that may have been more ideologically motivated, more anti-Natniahu motivated those headlines.

Indirect negotiations between these two parties is par for the course.
