When last we left the runaways, Apex the Wildman, Louise the scavenger, Alvin the mechanic, and Theo the combat medic.

They'd traveled all over the greater St. Louis area in a serpentine pattern, looking for just about anything while they moved into St. Louis proper to talk with the archers.

Their forces were mustering to march east in an effort to secure Vault 40 for themselves.

However, after talking with the runaways and learning about the Emerald Acropolis,

expedition leader Baker agreed to meet with Johan to discuss an arrangement.

Afterwards, they made their way to Jefferson Barracks,

secluded headquarters of the remainder of the Brotherhood of Steel,

to discuss with the elder how they plan to proceed while keeping them in the loop.

Now as they prepare for a meeting with the archers and Johan

on tonight's episode of Gateway.

And so you are standing out in the yard of the Jefferson Barracks, the sort of an overcast midday,

cascading down the gentle, dull white light through the clouds.
