When last we left most of the runaways, Apex the Wildman, Alvin the mechanic Louise

the scavenger. They found themselves trying to come to grips with Johann Sudden in explosive

departure from the group when he grew in size to become the massive super mutant they

had been hunting. With the newly liberated scribe Devon at their side they proceeded

to head where Bruce Dread, Apex's brother, urged them to go. The hidden brotherhood of

steel base at the Jefferson Barracks. They trekked through an old neighborhood to find shelter

for the night and Apex took out his frustrations on a nearby tree. Meanwhile, Cynthia was playing

Doctor at the St. Louis Science Center where Doctor Hal and Cara talked about a potential

future with Dave in which they can both persist as immortal synths. Cynthia contacted

the rest of her friends via radio and the court had agreed to meet at Jefferson Barracks.
