The Emmy nominated actor Gary Oldman is mesmerizing every moment that he's on screen as Jackson Lamb,

the disheveled leader of a dysfunctional spy unit in the Apple TV Plus series, Slow Horses.

It's a show that he says humanizes the secretive spy trope.

They're people that are relatable.

You know, it's not a world of sort of taxidos and casinos and fast cars.

And I think that's the wonderful twist.

And also, there's a lot of humor in it.

The fourth season of slow horses comes back on September 4th.

Oldman spoke with Eric Deggans back in January about what he learned about the spy world

and his many collaborations with director Christopher Nolan, including last year's Oppenheimer.

They also touched on the major career change he made after years of being typecast as what he calls a rent-a-villain.
