Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, who have already started

beating each other with rhetorical baseball bats, are harshing your mellow. Well, I got a solution.

Maybe we all need to just take a little toke of Governor Gary Johnson. He is the former

governor of New Mexico and the current libertarian candidate for president,

along with Bill Weld, the former governor of Massachusetts. He is also the former head of a weed

company. He resigned it in January. And as he admitted to me on the podcast, a not infrequent

sampler of his own product. And he indicated to me on the podcast, a not infrequent sampler of his own product. And he indicated to me

that he thought Donald Trump might be a nicer dude if he himself lit up occasionally. That would be

pretty interesting, right? Like Trump high at a debate? Well, anyway, the question is, will Gary Johnson, high or otherwise, wind up

at any of these debates? There is a 15% threshold in polling that's required to get on the

debate stage with Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Currently, he's polling between 8 and 12%.

His real performance in 2012 was 0.99 percent, but this is a different year and

there is a lot of dissatisfaction with these two candidates. I will make a plea, a plea to the

debate commission to drop that threshold to 8 percent to get this guy on the stage.

For the simple reason that we need someone with a slightly more positive attitude.

And in my conversation with Johnson, he was nothing, if not positive.

I mean, this is a guy who paraglides, who is a mountain biker.

The truth of the matter is, you know, his platform seems pretty trippy.

At the Libertarian Convention in New York, there was a guy who hadn't done a ton of sit-ups

who stripped down in front of Governor Johnson and everybody else.
