Quick correction here from episode 76. That was the case on Daniel Robinson from the Sonoran Desert.

We had said a couple things about snake bite treatment at the 21 minute mark. And we obviously said

the first thing you should do is seek medical attention. But then we still do that. Still do that.

That part hasn't change.

But we also mentioned using a tourniquet or mechanical suction if you can't get to a hospital.

So many of you who listen, we had some calls, we had some emails correcting us on this.

And according to the Wilderness Medical Society practice guidelines, both methods of treating snake bites are not recommended.
