Hello, and welcome to the sleep story from Abide.

I'm Bonnie Curry, and I'm so glad you've joined me for this bedtime story titled,

The Garden of New Life.

Tonight, we will travel to beautiful, vibrant Central America to explore the wonder of the

country Christopher Columbus once called the Rich Coast.

When he arrived on the eastern shore in the year 1502, he came by way of the Caribbean Sea.

This was on his fourth notable voyage, and as he traveled along the coast, he was so amazed

by the gold jewelry that he saw on the country's native people

that it led to the nickname, the rich coast. Perhaps you might better recognize this land

by its Spanish name, Costa Rica.

Famed for its pristine surfing conditions, its lush rainforest, its waterfalls, and diverse wildlife.

Costa Rica offers no shortage of adventure.

We will begin our adventure on the East Coast, on the beach at break of day.

You can't visit this gorgeous coastal country without glimpsing the waves and feeling the sand between your toes.
