Coming off one of their best performances in a couple of months in a win over Calgary,

Alan, the Caps had a big old turd burger of a game on Sunday, and their 14-game win streak over Boston's over.

You know what? And Boston, to their credit, finally played the game so much differently than they had in all those 14 losses.

I thought it was a defensive

gem by them today. The Capitals were pathetic in the puck management, puck moving department,

shot decisions, you name it. They were just absolutely awful with the puck today. And the Bruins

did an excellent job of grinding it out, backing five guys off.

And those are tough to swallow.

I think we've watched that happen here at Capital One way too many times this season,

and the Caps just fall prey to it every time.

Brian McNally, Cousie played 24 and a half plus minutes against Calgary,

probably his most dominating game since maybe October.

And then in this game, early penalty, he's one of a couple of guys who loses ice time as a result.

Yeah, Dimitri Yashkin, the other one.

And I think Brett Conley was some collateral damage there.

I don't know if he did anything to be benched, but he didn't see much time either late in the first period. The other two guys, yeah, I mean, Todd Reardon trying to send a message. T.J. Oshy pointed out afterward, he's tried to send that message before. Doesn't seem to be taking. Those were not good penalties. The caps weren't, I thought were okay the first couple of minutes. but when you take two penalties in the first 10, back to back, especially a slash in the neutral zone in front of everybody, it's going to be a problem. First loss to Boston since
