Welcome to our Thursday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

Today I'm continuing teaching verse by verse through the book of Galatians and I tell you this has been powerful.

Before I get back into that let me just mention that we're offering my living commentary which is a digital commentary on over 26,000 verses in the Bible.

So I'm now in Galatians chapter 3 and yesterday we were in verse 23 and it says but before faith came we were kept under the laws shut up under the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

You know that paints a picture for me that it's like before the before faith came the Lord had to show us that we can't be justified by our own goodness.

And this is one of the mistakes that people make. They comparing themselves among themselves and measuring themselves by themselves are not wise.

And this is what people do all the time. They say things like if the old hypocrites down there at church make it I'm going to make it.

What's wrong with that is the hypocrites at church aren't your standard.

And there's many of those hypocrites at church that aren't going to make it. They are just hypocrites and they don't truly possess salvation.

But people tend to do this. They think well look at this person. They made it and so I'm going to make it.

I mean they're popular and it seems like they're getting money and things are working for them.
