Okay, so we're going to get started.

And when we get started here in just a moment,

we're going to pick up at the beginning of St. Paul's Epistle to the Galatians chapter four.

So to get us caught up quickly, we stopped at a good stopping point, but we're still in the middle.

As we've mentioned, you know, we've just been through St. Paul's epistle to the Romans and 1st and 2nd Corinthians.

We've mentioned that because St. Paul's epistles to the Romans and 1st and 2nd Corinthians, we've mentioned that because St. Paul's

epistles are in the New Testament in descending order of length, that these are getting shorter.

And so St. Paul's Epistle to the Galatians is not as long, and he doesn't cover sort of a series of

topics. It's really all on one, dealing with one set of issues.

It's not just one issue, but one set of issues that's going on in the churches in Galatia.

And so we're not on like a totally different topic now than we were in Chapter 3,

even though there's a little bit of a

transition in the discussion here. And so basically in chapter three, which we went through in

some detail in the last couple of studies, St. Paul was talking about the law and what it's for and what it's not for.

And so he established that the promises of eternal life, of becoming sons of God,

of being part of and sharing in God's heavenly reign over his creation. These are promises that were given to Abraham a long time before, 460 years before

the Torah was given, right?

And that those promises were given with the promised land,
