Okay, so Galatians 1 verse 1.

Paul and Apostle, not from men nor through man,

but through Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised him from the dead

and all the brethren who are with me to the churches of Galatia.

So notice he starts off by identifying himself.

Paul and apostle, or apostle means one sent.

We've talked about how for St. Paul, that's very similar to the idea of a prophet being

commissioned.

And notice he makes the point, not from men, meaning he wasn't sent by men.

Right?

It's not that, you know, a group of men at some other church sent him out to go and, you know,

start home offices in Asia Minor, right?

It's, and it's not through men.

It's not even through men, meaning it's not that God told some other men, okay, go and said this guy, right?

But then he was sent directly, right?

He was sent directly by Christ when Christ appeared to Him.

And God the Father, who raised Him, raised Christ from the dead.

That is, uh, notice the through is Jesus Christ.
