Galatians 3:28 is, perhaps, the most abused verse in modern churches (a term that should, arguably, be in quotes), and this is not without reason. Satan attacks where he knows there is purchase to be found or headway to be made. In entirely unambiguous terms, Galatians 3:28 affirms the very real existence of race, hierarchy, and sex (i.e., that we are created either male or female) — the very things that the modern world constantly attacks and denies.
We must be careful readers when it comes to Scripture. God does not choose His words idly and we should not skim over them. We do not usually focus on a single verse to this extent, but it is incumbent on faithful Christians to defend where the battle is joined. In today’s episode, we will arm you to detect abuses of this verse, to defend yourself against those abuses, and to understand the wealth of what God has transmitted to us in a mere twenty-three words).

| 1:01.3 | in the church today. In church life, you frequently hear pastors and others pointing to Galatians |
| 1:06.6 | 328 is a very important passage for one thing or another. The problem is that virtually every time |
| 1:13.4 | this verse comes up today, it is for evil purposes. So today we are going to be exegeting very |
| 1:20.7 | closely the entirety of this verse. It's 26 words in most English translations. It's 23 words in Greek. They basically mean the same thing. |
| 1:30.1 | It'll give you a transliteration in a minute of the Greek and the English. There's one error that's |
| 1:34.3 | common in almost all the translations today that goes back to the King James that we will be |
| 1:39.9 | discussing at some length. But it's not an error that used to matter because it didn't change |
| 1:46.2 | what the verse meant until these new attacks occurred. We've talked a lot in past episodes about |
| 1:52.5 | how the new modern global religion has new doctrines. It has new tenets of the new faith, |
