Vestisvierum facet. Am I saying that right? It's the Latin expression for the clothes

maketh the man. You and I have been processing this expression as it relates to the Bible for

the last basically week now. And I tell you, I've got no regrets because what we're discovering

is this amazing bit of material at the end of Galatians chapter 3.

Right in the middle of it, there's a metaphor.

It says that for all of you who are baptized into Christ, have clothed yourselves with Christ.

We've taken a week to go and track down that motif, that metaphor, through all of the Bible,

up through the teachings of Christ. That's where we left off last time around. And I, for one,

am finding this already awesomely wonderful passage at the end of Galatians 3 to be even

awesomer and wonderflur than I thought it was before, having done this clothes,

maketh the man motif jaunt through the Bible. Well, guess what? We got one more day of that.

And what we have seen, if you've been with me through the last week, is that where your eye

doctor flips through the different lenses and she's like, here, look at this one. Is that better?

No. Is this better? A little. Is that better? No. Is this

better? A little? Is this better? A little, a little, a little, until finally it's so in focus

that you've like forgotten how clear something could be. And you're like, dang, doctor, that's

perfect. Thank you, ma'am. Well, through the Bible, the clothes make it the man motif, the being

robed in something and having that inform the

essence of the person who is robed in it, that motif goes from there but vague to clearer,

clearer, clearer, clearer, clearer, clearer, clearer to the end of the Old Testament,

really clear to Jesus hitting the nail on the head in Luke 15 with the parable of

the prodigal son, which is a reference back to Zechariah 3, to even more explicitly spelled
