podcast. I'm the host Scott Feinberg and my guest today, which marks the second

birthday of this podcast, is one of the hottest stars in Hollywood right now.

A 32-year-old Israeli who recently portrayed D.C. Comics' most iconic female character

in the first big studio superhero film ever to primarily center on a female protagonist in a film that

thanks in no small parts of her performance turned out to be the hit of the summer

garnering a 92% favorable rating on Rodden tomatoes.com and grossing more than 800

million dollars worldwide. I'm talking about the star of Patty Jenkins Wonder Woman

herself the truly lovely Galga Dope. But with this being the first episode of the

podcast of the current Oscar season, we are also going to introduce a new

feature before the interview, something that is going to happen on each

episode through the Oscars and that is going to be a little bit of banter between myself and a colleague from the Hollywood reporter discussing what's happened since the previous episode.

In this case it's our first so we'll talk about what's happened over the past week and for that I am very pleased to welcome the executive editor of features for the Hollywood reporter my distinguished colleague Stephen Galloway. Thank you for joining me, especially after four days already with me at the Telluride Film Festival we've just returned from. And I want to talk about that because that is sort of the unofficial kickoff every year of the

Oscar season and I wonder in your view what was the big takeaway from this

years? I thought it was an excellent telluride beyond the fact that it's simply lovely to see good movies, which you can't

for much the year. I thought there were very good films this year. There wasn't one that I

categorically fell head over heels with like I did moonlight last year and other people did with

Lala Land.

But I thought it was some terrific films that are going to be very strong entries.

Battle of the Sexes about the famous Billy Gene King,

Bobby Riggs tennis match has yet again a wonderful Emma Stone and it's maybe the most commercial of the films that we saw for

Fox Searchlight.
