On this episode, we are going to discuss some struggling

young hitters, young as in like under 26 was the cutoff. Some guys that we think could still have

very bright futures, despite 2025s that haven't gone well, even multi-year stretches that haven't gone

quite to script. Got a few baseball news items to talk about today, including one of the most unusual endings

to a game I've ever seen.

I mean, let's just go right into that.

But the quick setup here, the Phillies, visiting the Giants. And Oracle Park,

I didn't realize, has been a house of horrors for the Phillies lately. I think they've

lost 18 of their last 21 in San Francisco, according to Matt Gelb. I mean, that's a remarkably

rough stretch. And they're up 3-1 in the ninth inning. Jordan Romano trying to close it out. There's one out. Patrick Bailey's up. Two runners on base. This is a pretty good spot if you're a Philly's fan. You're sitting there. You're like, yeah, we got this. Everything's good. Jordan Romano hasn't been great, but Patrick Bailey's having a down year. He's going to get through this, no problem. And then this happens.

Now, off the bat, I think this is going to be a home run because it was crushed.

It's the top of the wall, a top of that right field, that right center brick wall at Oracle,

and then it does a classic cart path roll all the way down the warning track towards

left field.

And Patrick Bailey clears the bases with a walkoff inside the park home run.

I mean, Jed, you've seen some things on a baseball dime.

Have you seen a game end quite like that before?

I have not. And we were just talking before we hit record, and that was the first time I had seen it.
