Our Father, we are wanting to understand how Malachi transitions us toward the New Testament and why.

So guide us in understanding that today. In Jesus' name, amen. Now, friends, just as a quick recap

in this God's story series we've been doing, we started

all the way back in Genesis and to walk through the major events of God's dealings with humanity,

dealings with people carrying out his plans toward the establishment of his goals and his will

on planet Earth. We've seen that he did that for a long time through the nation of Israel.

He did that through kings, through prophets,

through trying to get his people to obey his law,

and it just utterly failed.
