The Senate is expected to vote on a short-term spending package in exchange for a future vote on extending

Affordable Care Act subsidies.

If approved, the House will have to return and pass the deal before it sent to President

Donald Trump's desk to be signed.

The American people have suffered for long enough. Let's not pointlessly drag this bill out.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer says he opposes the deal.

Meanwhile, this was the worst weekend for air traffic controller staffing since the start

of the shutdown.

And major airlines could increase the number of flight cancellations heading into Tuesday.

On Truth Social, Trump warned controllers would face penalties if they didn't return to their

jobs while saying he would recommend $10,000 bonuses to those who've worked during the shutdown.

President Trump is again floating sending Americans $2,000 tariff rebate checks.
