Hi, this is Josh Marshall and this is the Josh Marshall podcast with Kate Riega.

Yesterday we did an Instapod kind of a breaking news podcast because the Georgia

Trump coup indictments had come out the night before and when I mean night I mean

like night like not like 6 p.m. or something like that but not quite the middle of the night

but late in the evening. So we did a first go on the range of issues that this new set

of indictments has brought up but today we are joined by one of our colleagues here at

TPM Josh Kufensky who is the lead reporter on you know Trump felonies for lack of a

better word. And I guess I would say lead reporter since they have become such a

massive part of the political conversation the political reality in this country

that we're all kind of like reporters on this case is not it's not it's not an

obscure it's not an obscure beat it it pervades everything and just as an example

of that today you know we're going to talk about the new indictments we're also

going to talk about what's going on in Iowa which on the Republican side is still the

first primary contest not technically a primary but you know and they have this whole

thing where the Iowa state fair is a big thing leading into the political

contest in Iowa and it's sort of a gauntlet where all candidates have to have to

try to eat like obscenely large corn dogs as you know and get out of and get
