I looked at my 17-year-old this weekend, and this week really, and I felt like he was going down the same sort of dysfunctional pattern that I have been fighting most of my life.

And that's not embracing and celebrating even little wins.

I've never been good at that, man. It's always the

next thing. It's the next thing. It's the next thing. And I'm almost like internally expecting

myself to reach certain milestones. And then when I get there, I don't celebrate them. I just never have.

I mean, celebrating things in my family was never a really big deal. So I guess personal

stuff like that doesn't, I haven't really embraced it either. So I'm looking at my 17 year old and I had

to fire off a text to him this weekend because I'm so dang proud of them that I'm getting emails like

almost every week now from colleges that he's been accepted to. And he's been real humble about it.
