I don't know why I've been reluctant to do this with my 17 year old or my kids before, probably

because it was just such a drag at 16 or 17 years old to hang out with my parents right every

16 year old or 17 year old kind of feels like that right but I just send a

text to him saying hey for now on like Monday nights are going to be our family night and I think that's so

strange to me because we never had one in my house and I've always been reluctant to sort of direct my kids at okay this is going to be the night

we're hanging out together but I had to do it. A he's got college right around the

corner we don't know where he's going just yet and also I realized over the course of the last couple of months

When he didn't have a car I got to hang out with him a lot more

Unfortunately we had to buy him a truck last week

Um, which I'm really happy about for him because,

so the history here goes,

he had himself a car, first time owner of a car,

to make a long story short ran it into a pole and

total the car so I told him this time hey I paid for the last one I am not hooking you up with this one, man. You're going to have to earn this. I'll match it, but you're going to have to work for this one. So damn it, he did it.

Yeah. I thought it would take a lot longer. I had some more time with him.

Dang!

He started taking some jobs around town, and then he started working for Stacey's new boyfriend, Joe,

quite a bit.

He's laying flooring and drywall and all that, so Joe's been helping him out and he came up with a whole bunch of cash and did the research on his own car and his own truck and over the weekend we went out and we got himself for 2014 F 150.

So he's rocking that now and I look once they have that car man it is really really hard to get him back in the house
