Christian. Welcome friends to the Christian O'Connell Show podcast. So Patti, how was last night your daughter's

school? Yeah, Audrey, they had Jack, all the musical students and the voice students had a little

concert, end of year concert at school last night. And it was the first time, like Orders played her violin

and stuff before. But it's the first time we've actually seen her do a solo performance of

singing so what was this it wasn't a school player i think this is one of those sort of end of the

school year productions yeah just it was a showcase of what they've been working on all year

essentially um but it kind of where where are you sat row one two or three where do you think not front

front center of course i was oh no oh no. I'm afraid there is, oh no, because I always go third row. That's enough, okay? But my wife and I, always, the people in the front are, Pat's. Patty's pulled some deck chairs onto the stage. She's got her own throne as well.

She's elevated.

She's got one of those Ken R. Cherry Pickers so she can get a good look. No, well, I'm short, you see. It's hard to see over the dead. Take one of those little booster seats, yeah? That's right, that you get at the cinema. So how does she get on? What was she singing? She sang Stand Up, a song called Stand Up by Cynthia Inverro or Enviro or something. It was like a gospel sort of song. Oh, wow. But it took us back because, honestly, hand of my heart, we've only heard her sing in the shower. Like we had no idea. Everyone sings in the shower, right? So we sat there and we thought, this would be great.

You know, we were so proud of her.

It takes a lot to perform, especially on your own in front of a room for strangers and your peers. Oh, she wasn't with the rest of the crew.

No, she was a solo.

Oh, wow.

That's amazing, perhaps.

So we said, you know what?

If you forget the songs, it doesn't matter. The fact is you're getting up there and showcasing what you've worked on all year. We're proud of you. Whatever you do, doesn't matter. Just get up, enjoy it and embrace. Be proud of what you've achieved this year. Anyway, so she starts singing. A bit of a shaky start. Of course, all the kids were nervous. And it's nice for you to critique that on the show as well.

Well, she would admit to that. So we've just had two minutes of it. It doesn't matter if you forget the song, but, you know, it's shaky start. Well, she was nervous is what I want to say. Well, probably because she's worried about what her mum was going to say on a radio show. Mum and Dad, the voice charges aren't turning the chairs around. Patsy's the only mom with a notepad there.
