Let's look at the history of Afghanistan. In the 4th century, Buddhism was one of the major

religions, and this lasted quite a while. Then in 2001, the Taliban actually blew up a Buddhist

statue, obviously moving on to a less Buddhist tone. That's who we're dealing with. They actually

blew up an inanimate object that represented peace. Since the 1700s, the Afghanistan region

has been at war and has changed leadership countless, countless and countless times.

The English tried to take Afghanistan, and I say we couldn't get it done.

The Soviet Union tried to take Afghanistan

and spent a whole decade, and we failed miserably.

And now we, the American Army, after 20 years, are also leaving.
