Gardner is back. We're talking about some fruit bearing options, things that you can cover up a fence or a wall

with that will actually produce something edible for you and your family.

So Cameron, when I moved into my new place, I've got like seven different types of fences.

It's kind of a little bit of a mess.

There's like property line things to deal with.

That being said, I can at least do something with them in the meantime.

We may be replacing some soon, who knows?

But I'm curious, you said that you've got 80 varieties,

you've got a lot of different, you know, vining or sort of trailing plants

that are producing for you. what are some things that someone

should keep in mind for growing if they want to cover up a fence, a wall, something like that?

Yeah, you know, when you're looking at covering these spaces or beautifying these spaces, you've got some options available, you've got things that do not fruit, but if you're like me, you want that to produce something that's tasty.

And so one of the things to consider is what do you want that

covering to do. have year-round foliage or is it possible for it to be deciduous?

Because that'll determine what you choose.

Like on my chain link fence, example I planted passion fruit now I hadn't actually

ever eaten passion fruit before that but planted it because I knew that it had beautiful blooms and I knew that the foliage would be evergreen.

The leaves don't fall off.

But there might be somebody who doesn't really like passion fruit and might want to consider growing grapes on some sort of fence or a wall with some support.
