Turn please to John chapter 15, John 15, and verse 1.

Jesus said, I am the true vine, and my father is the husbandman.

Husbandman could be translated gardener or farmer vine trimmer Jesus is the vine the father's the vine dresser

every branch in me who's the branch have you figured that part out that's us every branch in me that bears not fruit he takes away and every branch that bears fruit he purges it

that it may bring forth more fruit now a lot of people don't like the sound of purging but i sure like

that a lot better than being cut off

and burn.

Don't you?

Give me purging.

And if you understand the scripture, then you want to purging.

Try it out for size.

Said out like, give me some purging.

Now see, some people, they think, oh, I wouldn't say that.

You better say it.

You better say it because you need it.

There's no such thing as a fruit tree or a vine, no matter how good it is, how much it produces, that never needs any trimming.

The very best fruit trees and vines.

Need some dead stuff, superfluous stuff, unnecessary stuff, cut off so it can put out new shoots

and new branches so that it can grow and so that the stuff that unnecessary

stuff ceases to be a drain and a waste of resources.

Anybody in here interested in fruitfulness?
