have more fun. Okay? Today we're going to be talking about some tips, just some tips and tricks, some more effective growing tips and tricks that don't cost a whole lot of money.

Okay, let's go ahead and get into the tricks. First we have using coffee filters.

There are many different ways to use them in the garden, but one thing you can do is you can

put them at the bottom of a pot that has drainage holes

and so soil won't leak out, but water can still get out of the pot.

The other thing we can do is we can overpot our large pots if that makes sense.

So you can have a large pot but oftentimes the plant you're putting within that pot doesn't use all of that soil, right?

It doesn't need all of that soil.

So what you can do is you can put an empty plastic bottle or a milk jug at the bottom.

It reduces how much soil that pot requires and thus you can still have a large

pot with maybe a shallow rooted plant and you're going to be good to go without wasting some extra

soil. Next thing you can do is you can plant plants in a circle.

A lot of people don't do this because they don't want to waste space,

but if you have a little bit of space and you can design a more aesthetic garden, one thing you can do is you can do peas,

vining peas in a circle with a circular trellis on the interior.

I've seen people do it with sunflowers.

There's some unique plants that can provide a bit of a hedge or like a secret

garden type of approach if you plant them in a circle. Next, you can DIY your transplant pots. So toilet paper rolls are a great way to do this.
