| 0:00.0 | I completed a full on Olympic Lake triathlon. I saw no difference in my body. None of that post-pregnancy bulge went away. Nothing happened. And then hit 40. I'm not even just like maintaining it. I'm actually getting bigger. It was kind of like putting some of these pieces together is what led up to feeling like, okay, I think I need help. |
| 0:17.8 | Yeah. But Warrior Babe was one of those that kept popping up. |
| 0:21.1 | My weight is down maybe five pounds, but inches off my waist. |
| 0:25.8 | I would say even within that first week, I felt different on being there for my kids, for |
| 0:31.3 | the responsibilities that I have. |
| 0:32.9 | It was like my body was just saying thank you what's going on everybody hey you guys so i have a another warrior babe |
| 0:47.7 | here with us and i'm so excited to dive into her story nicole was working out six days a week. She was eating less. She was skipping meals |
| 0:57.1 | and she was watching her body get bigger. And at 40 years old with five kids and no time to waste, |
| 1:03.1 | she thought that maybe this was just how life was after 40 and how it was supposed to be. |
| 1:09.0 | But she wasn't ready to give up. And I love that mentality. |
| 1:12.9 | In just five months with Warrior Babe, Nicole's seen more progress than years and years of pushing |
| 1:19.3 | herself. And the best part is she's doing less and she's getting more. So let's dive into her story. |
| 1:25.3 | Nicole, welcome. Thank you. So let's dive into where you were before |
| 1:30.1 | you found warrior baby. Like what was your situation like? And what were you struggling with both physically and |
| 1:35.7 | mentally? It was kind of a process that started, I mean, so many years ago, it's like other women |
| 1:41.2 | can relate to this, but it was almost like every five years, you just kind of feel something is different and something changes. It's like, oh, my metabolism |
| 1:48.1 | slowing down. I can't eat quite as much. And then, of course, you throw in having kids in there |
| 1:53.2 | and you have no idea what your body's doing. So I just had been watching for so many years, |
| 1:59.0 | just this like, oh, I guess I need to, you know, watch what I'm eating a little bit more or can't quite eat that or, oh, had this other baby and I guess I'm just not going to bounce back to what I was before. It's okay. That extra five pounds, it's going to be fine. I'll just, I'll accept it. I'll live with it. I can still do all the things that I love to do. I love being active, swimming, riding my bike, hiking, all those kinds of things. It's fine until it's not. And I got to a point after, you know, I'd had the last baby. It was like, there are no more babies coming. And so I know I'm not going to be at least riding that wave anymore. The changes weren't stopping. Now my youngest is five years old. And it's like, oh, I'm five more pounds heavier. Again, do I just have to accept that? It wasn't like I was necessarily at an unhealthy weight. But you just start, do I have to buy clothes again? You know, for everything. I've bought so many rounds of clothes. |
| 2:51.9 | I really don't want to just keep doing that. At what point am I not going to be able to do all |
| 2:56.8 | these things that I love doing anymore if I just keep saying, okay, this five pounds is okay. |
| 3:01.4 | And okay, so I'm at 40, but does that mean that at 45, there's going to be another five pounds? |
