Congress is negotiating a deal to fund the Department of Homeland Security, but both sides

seem far apart from an agreement.

I think to some degree, the roving patrols is an issue that they might be open to.

But again, it's a compromise. And you've

had House Speaker Mike Johnson say, I'm not for taking off the masks. You've had the issue of

warrants. I'd them say, no, we don't necessarily need to do that. So that's two major issues

right there. And President Trump's former acting DHS secretary discusses Democrats' demands to rain in ice.

Let's look at the ways in which ICE cooperates very good with locals, and let's mandate that,

because that's safe for everyone, and it allows ICE to do their job.

Instead, the Democrats say, well, we want to limit how ICE can even do their job to begin with.

This is the Fox News rundown from Washington.

Every government agency except the Department of Homeland Security is funded through the end of the fiscal year.

House Democrats, led by minority leader Hakeem Jeffries, say they will not support a spending bill to keep DHS open beyond next week without new restrictions on immigration enforcement officials.

ICE is completely and totally out of control.

Among their list of demands, Democrats also want to

require ICE officers to get a judicial warrant before they search private homes or make arrests.

They also want officers to carry identification and end roving patrols. Republicans, however,

are calling the proposal a non-starter. Missouri Senator Josh Hawley argued the move is

purely political. This has nothing to do with trying to get accountability in favor of changing

those by legislative fiat in an effort to shut down ICE enforcement. This has nothing to do with
