Saturday, April 25th, 2025. I'm Jared Halper. Ethics scandals rock Congress leading to a slew of

resignations. So we've been through these periods before, but what I don't recall

are so many members, you know, having questions all at once about various forms of conduct.

And it's not like they're all connected. And there are new leaks from inside the Supreme Court.

The court itself is now becoming a point of controversy with leaks and also

public statements by justices that seem to attack their colleagues or attack decisions.

This is the Fox News rundown from Washington.

Just one in ten Americans, a proof of Congress right now.

A Gallup survey out this week recorded an 86% disapproval of our legislative body. That ties a record high since Gallup started asking

Americans about Congress 50 years ago. Now, to be fair, Congress never polls particularly well,

but the 86% disapproval is the highest Gallup has recorded in more than 10 years, and it comes

at a time similar to other surges

in congressional unpopularity, a protracted shutdown, in this case the Department of Homeland Security,

frustration over prices, and ethics scandals. Three members of the House, two Democrats and one

Republican, resigned from office all in a matter of days,

and there are calls for at least one more expulsion vote.

Two of those resignations, California Democrat Eric Swalwell, and Texas Republican Tony Gonzalez,

are tied to sexual misconduct allegations.
