0:00.0	You graduate and then what happens?
0:02.5	Well, I got a great first job at one of the places I interned.
0:07.3	It was an amazing physical therapy company where it was a large company, but we felt like family.
0:13.5	We would go see surgeries, talk about, you know, how can we get patients better?
0:17.9	We knew each other's families.
0:20.0	It was very homely. But then, you know, we got
0:22.5	bought out by another physical therapy company. I had a lot of documentation and paperwork to do.
0:27.6	But really, it was one day when I was taking care of probably five or six patients in an hour
0:33.0	and by myself, no assistance, no other PT's in the room, just a front desk signing people in.
0:40.0	And when I looked over at one of my patients, she was slumped over and passed out, unresponsive, and soaking wet.
0:47.0	And I went over to her and, you know, I took her vitals.
0:50.2	She wasn't answering to her name.
0:52.0	I took her vitals and it was 40 over 20 was her blood pressure. I wanted to just, I like getting to know people. And with the physical therapy, it's not just about, oh, the knee pain. It's about why do you want the knee pain to go away? Are you got to play with your grandson? Are you going hiking, biking? It's the why that if I have so many people at once,
1:12.7	I can't get into that why because knowing the why will help them get better and prevent it
1:18.2	from ever happening again. They couldn't pay for college unless we took out loans. And so my mom said,
1:23.3	who is the dean of the university? You know, and there's this thing that they say in Trinidad,
1:28.2	if you want clean water, you got to go to the head of the fountain. She said, call the dean of the university, make an appointment right now. Did you know there's a technology that's actually an app on your phone that uses sound waves to tell your brain what you want your brain to do? We had a young man that was on a guest on our podcast,
