As I understand it, with any healthy relationship, they are built on compromise.

One person's compromising, the other one's happy, then it goes back and forth like that, right?

So what if the compromise means that one person in the relationship pretty much has to give up their life for the other person's dream?

Dear Bird Show, I need your help.

I have my dream job, my career job, in the palm of my hands.

My dream job is to be in law enforcement.

The job that I am currently at pays decent.

But in order to make the move to my dream job, some sacrifices have to be made.

My wife would have to quit her job to stay at home to be with the kids.

We're not financially stable yet, but we are working on it.

In four months, my daughter will have her first birthday.

My mother-in-law is living with us, and she complains every time we ask her to watch the kids.

So that is why my wife would have to quit her job.

I want to take the job, but I feel like the right thing is to be responsible and let my

dream job slip away.

Please, Bert Show, I need your help on what to do.
